Exciting Opportunity:

High-Speed Fiber Internet May Be Heading Your Way!

We're thrilled to announce that we've identified potential new areas for our high-speed fiber internet expansion, and your community may be on our radar! Below you will find information about how we build out areas and can check on the status of your region as well as express your interest in having us bring service to your area.

Before DayStarr embarks on the journey to extend our high-speed fiber network to new areas, we engage in a crucial preliminary step known as the Gathering Interest Phase. This phase is instrumental in determining the feasibility of expanding our services to your community. Here’s what the Gathering Interest Phase entails and how you can be a part of this exciting potential development:

  1. Community Engagement: DayStarr reaches out to residents within the potential expansion area to gauge interest in our high-speed fiber internet services. This process helps us understand whether there is sufficient demand to justify the infrastructure investment in your community.

  2. Expressing Interest: Residents are encouraged to show their interest in signing up for DayStarr’s services. This can be done through various channels provided by DayStarr, such as an online interest form, email, or direct contact with our team. Expressing interest is a critical step that directly influences our decision to move forward with construction in your area.

  3. No Obligation: During this phase, expressing interest is entirely without obligation. It simply indicates that you would consider DayStarr as your internet service provider should we extend our network to your area. Your input is valuable in shaping our expansion plans.

  4. Information Collection: As part of gathering interest, we may collect basic information to better understand your needs and preferences for internet service. This information will also help us keep you informed about the progress of our expansion efforts and any upcoming steps should your area be selected.

  5. Community Threshold: For an area to be considered for expansion, a certain threshold of interested residents must be met. This threshold varies depending on the size and logistics of the area. DayStarr will communicate what this threshold is and keep the community updated on the interest levels received.

  6. Next Steps: If sufficient interest is gathered, DayStarr will proceed to the next phases of planning and construction, bringing us one step closer to offering high-speed fiber internet to your home.

Your support and interest during this phase are crucial. By expressing your desire for DayStarr’s services, you play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge internet connectivity to your community. Join us in this initial step towards a more connected future!

As we embark on the journey to bring high-speed fiber to your area, it's essential to understand what the construction phase entails. This is a critical step in laying the foundation for your future connectivity, and here's what you can expect:

  1. Utility Location: The process kicks off with utility locators marking existing utilities. You might notice flags or spray paint around your property—these are indicators from MissDig, a utility locating service, highlighting the presence of underground utilities. These markers are temporary and will fade over time, but it's crucial not to remove them to ensure the safety and efficiency of our construction efforts.

  2. Construction Equipment: The presence of heavy construction equipment is a clear sign that work is underway. You'll likely see big, orange spools of conduit—a key component in building our underground network. This conduit houses the fiber cables, ensuring they are protected and durable over time. Expect to see this equipment moving around the neighborhood, including on lawns, as we lay the groundwork for your high-speed connection.

  3. Property Access: Our construction activities will primarily take place within the right of way or utility easement adjacent to your property. The specifics of this area may vary depending on local regulations and the unique layout of each property. We're committed to operating with minimal disruption and respect for your space.

  4. Installation of Hand Holes: Approximately every other lot, we will install hand holes—these are underground vaults that serve as access points for the network. At ground level, you'll see a flush green plate marking these spots. These installations are crucial for maintaining and expanding the network as needed, ensuring reliable service for everyone.

Throughout this phase, our goal is to efficiently lay the foundation for high-speed fiber connectivity while minimizing impact on the community. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work towards enhancing your digital experience.

Welcome to the installation phase of your journey towards high-speed fiber connectivity with DayStarr! This phase is all about making the final connections to bring our service directly into your home. Here's what you should expect during this critical step:

  1. Notification of Service Availability: As soon as your home is ready to be connected to our network, we will notify you. This notification means it's time to sign up and schedule the installation. If you've previously expressed interest in our service or signed up on a waiting list, look out for an email or text from us with all the details you need to proceed, including a link to sign up for installation.

  2. Residential Service Agreement: Before installation can begin, you'll be asked to complete a Residential Service Agreement. This is where we collect some necessary personal information, learn a bit more about your home, schedule a convenient installation date and time, and process the installation fee. The standard installation fee is $50.

  3. Day of Installation: On the scheduled day, our installer will arrive at your home and make their presence known by knocking on your door. They will need access to your home to complete the installation, which typically takes about 3 hours. It's important that someone 18 years or older is present during this time.

  4. Installation Process: We aim to follow existing service pathways into your home and will install our equipment in the same location as your previous service, unless you direct us otherwise. The installation process may involve attaching a line from a pole to your home or burying it from a pole or the road. Our standard practice is to gently separate the grass with a hand spade, lay the fiber line about a foot under the surface, and then carefully replace the grass. For longer distances, we may use equipment that follows a similar process. If the ground is frozen, the line will temporarily rest on top of the grass until it can be properly buried in the spring.

  5. Testing the Connection: Before our installer leaves, they will thoroughly test the connection to ensure everything is working perfectly. This step is crucial for guaranteeing that you have immediate access to high-speed internet.

We're excited to bring you into the DayStarr family and provide you with the connectivity you deserve. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we complete this final step towards activating your service.

As we approach the completion of the construction phase for your high-speed fiber network, DayStarr is committed to leaving your landscape in excellent condition. The ground restoration phase is an essential part of our process, ensuring that any disturbances caused during construction are appropriately addressed. Here's what you can expect during this phase:

  1. Landscaping Restoration: Our team will meticulously work through the areas affected by the construction to restore the landscaping. This includes laying down fresh grass seed and straw to encourage new growth and repair any areas where the grass was disturbed.

  2. Rut Repair: During the construction process, the heavy equipment may create ruts or indentations in the ground. We take full responsibility for these and will ensure they are filled and leveled, returning your property to its original state or better.

  3. Seasonal Considerations: If the construction phase extends into colder months and the ground is frozen, immediate ground restoration may not be possible. In such cases, DayStarr will schedule a return visit in the spring to complete all necessary landscaping restoration work.

We understand the importance of maintaining the beauty and integrity of your property. DayStarr is dedicated to minimizing the impact of our construction activities and ensuring that any affected areas are fully restored. Your patience and understanding during this phase are greatly appreciated as we work to bring you closer to enjoying high-speed fiber connectivity.
