We base our decision on three key factors:

  1. Our network design in your area

    • If the main fiber line serving your neighborhood is underground, there’s a high chance your drop to the home will be underground too.

    • If the main line is aerial (on poles), we’ll usually bring the line to your home the same way unless your home is way back off the road.

  2. Available infrastructure

    • In some areas, we have both overhead and underground options. In those cases, we typically follow the path of your existing utilities like electric or phone service.

  3. Efficiency and appearance

    • We aim to choose the most efficient route that blends in with current services, limits disruption to your property, and keeps your connection reliable long-term.

Can I request one option over the other?

In most cases, the delivery method is determined by existing infrastructure and local utility rules. However, if you have specific concerns (like landscaping, new construction, or aesthetic preferences), we’re happy to talk through your options but there are certain limitations we can do without additional fees.
